    Les Pedersen

    Vice President of Sales & Marketing

    Les was raised near Colorado Springs in Parker, Colorado. Most recently, he opened Four Seasons Oahu in Hawaii. Prior to that, Les was at the Four Seasons in Whistler, British Columbia. The majority of his career was spent in premier mountain destinations including Lake Tahoe and Aspen/Snowmass.

    Les lives with his spouse, Jamie, and they are hoping to adopt a new rescue dog soon.

  • Denise Perkins, Director of Marketing of Garden of the Gods Resort & Club

    Director of Marketing

    Throughout her career, Denise has held numerous positions within prestigious hotels and resorts across the country. Prior to joining Garden of the Gods Resort and Club, she served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Noble House Hotels & Resorts in Napa, California. During her three-year tenure, her efforts included launching a new CRM marketing program and re-launching the nationally acclaimed AAA Four-Diamond Napa Valley Wine Train attraction.

    Her previous positions also include senior hospitality sales and marketing executive roles at Red Mountain Resort and Spa in Utah, the Mandalay Resort Group in Las Vegas, and as VP of Marketing & Sales at the Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. During her free time, Denise loves adventuring in the outdoors and traveling. She is an avid hiker, snow skier, cyclist, golfer, and twice completed the 27-mile Grand Canyon North Rim to South Rim hike.

  • Karen Palaskie

    Karen Plaskie

    Conference Services Manager

    Karen moved to Colorado from Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1996, when she started her hospitality career. Prior to joining the team at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club, she managed a local bed and breakfast for eight years.

    To give back to the community, on Sundays, Karen runs a church for the homeless with her husband. When she has spare time, she loves working on home projects, hiking, and watching football.

  • Tom Walker

    Tom Walker


    With more than 25 years of Hotel Sales experience, Tom started his Hotel Career working for The Marriott in his hometown of Valley Forge, PA and has worked for other National Chains such as Hilton and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Salt Lake City, UT.  An avid skier and outdoor enthusiast, his career brought him to Jackson, WY where he worked for The Terra Resort Group at The Teton Mountain Lodge and then went on to open Hotel Terra, two 4 Diamond Resorts in Teton Village.

    Tom has been in Colorado Springs now for almost 20 years and worked at the Garden of the Gods Resort from 2008 to 2012 and is thrilled to be back!  “It has been exciting to watch the amazing transformation of the Resort since I left in 2012 and I always hoped to be back working in the Sales Department one day, telling the world about this amazing place”.

  • Kendra Van Ness

    Kendra Van Ness

    Senior Sales Catering Manager/Weddings Specialist

    Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Kendra has expert knowledge on the Colorado experience. During the previous 12 years, she has worked in the event planning industry in Denver — selling, planning, and managing a wide range of events through venues, catering, wedding planning, designing, and DMC planning. She is thrilled that her experience and area roots have brought her back to Colorado Springs and to Garden of the Gods Resort and Club.

    Outside of work, Kendra enjoys teaching or taking yoga classes, hiking with her dogs, snowboarding, or spending time with her family and friends with a great glass of wine!

  • Allison Reilly

    Allison Reilly

    Catering Manager

    Allison was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a degree in Business Management from Millersville University. Her love for hospitality and events began during an internship in South Carolina. Shortly after moving to Colorado, Allison served as a Banquet Captain here at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club. She is excited to devote her event knowledge and experience to creating and planning events as a Catering Manager.

    In her free time, Allison is a foodie and enjoys trying new restaurants. She also enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and being outdoors. Allison always welcomes new experiences and a little adventure!

  • Denise Bac

    Denise Bac

    A veteran of 30 years in the hospitality industry, attended the University of Michigan, part of the opening team for the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn Michigan in 1988, where she worked for 10 years. While vacationing in Colorado in 1998, she fell in love with Colorado Springs and decided to move out west.

    After spending 20 years at The Broadmoor as a Conference Catering Manager she decided to take some time off to travel. She missed the excitement and creativity of the hotel industry after handling events like Concours d’Elegance, Weekend of Jazz, The Home Front Cares, Air Force Ball, a wedding for a Pet Psychic whose “flower girl” was her pet horse, celebrities, presidents, astronauts, and numerous holiday parties and is now a member of Garden of the Gods Resort and Club.

    She loves the excitement and creativity of working in the hotel industry and creating wonderful lifetime memories for guests. She enjoys doing volunteer work and was a doggie matchmaker at the Humane Society, was part of the Zoo Ball and is on the committee for the Wine Festival of Colorado Springs, a Detroit Red Wings fan, likes to travel, hike, swim, yoga, read, paint, volunteer and experiment with different recipes.

  • Jan Alexander

    Sales & Catering Administrative Assistant

    Jan is from Lake of the Ozarks, MO, where she began her life-long career in the hospitality industry, serving as a fine-dining server and banquet captain at Lodge of the Four Seasons. Jan then spent 10 years at the Country Club Hotel & Spa in Lake Ozark, with roles including Restaurant Supervisor, Food & Beverage Administration, Sales & Catering Administration, and Food & Beverage Manager. In Osage Beach, MO, she co-owned and managed Peace and Plenty Café, and also served as Sales & Catering Event Manager and Coordinator at Osage National Golf Resort—an Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course.

    Jan has lived in Colorado Springs since 2015. She is the proud mother of two sons and her kitten, Andromeda (Andi). In her spare time, she enjoys studying the night sky through her telescope, cooking, and playing piano.

  • Katie Vigliotti

    Sales & Catering Coordinator

    Katie Vigliotti is a native Long Islander and “half-Marylander”. Colorado Springs is now where she calls home. Katie attended college at Long Island University, where she received a B.S. in Business with a concentration in Marketing. Before moving west, she served as Events & Promotions Manager at an esteemed restaurant in historic Fells Point, Baltimore, MD. She has over five years of experience in sales and managing events ranging from political campaigns and fundraisers, to birthday celebrations and rehearsal dinners. In her free time, Katie enjoys skiing, running, road cycling and most importantly spending quality time with her son, Hunter, and Boston Terrier, Brooklyn.
