Dr Michael J. Barber

Leading our clinical team is Cardiologist and Internist, Dr. Michael J. Barber. An industry leader and expert in his field, Dr. Barber has 40 years of clinical experience in cardiology and internal medicine. He also holds several medical fellowships and serves on advisory boards and committees within these professional organizations.

Originally from Indiana, Dr. Barber received his Medical Degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and his Doctorate with distinction in Physiology from Loyola University in Chicago.  He attended the University of Virginia for his residency, and Duke University for Cardiology and Electrophysiology fellowships. Now a Colorado resident, he lives with his wife, Angie, their four dogs and a cat, and enjoys early morning dog walks and hunting and fishing.

Dr. Barber retired from his traditional cardiology career to lead his team in Strata’s integrated health approach. His passion for his practice is the same, and he loves to benefit from a collaborative spirit, multiple approaches, and multidisciplinary expertise. His areas of focus are cardiovascular disease, integrative cardiology, internal medicine, hypertension and lipid abnormalities, executive wellness, men’s wellness, and IV nutritional therapies, with an emphasis on complete care, a healthier lifestyle, healthy aging, and lifestyle mobility. He believes that it’s never too early and never too late to get started and get healthier.
